Common Features

Definition of ‘Accident’

  • An unforeseen and unexpected event of violent, accidental, external and visible nature which shall independently of any other cause be the sole and direct cause of bodily injury.

Definition of ‘Injury’

  • A visible contusion bodily injury, caused solely and directly by accidental means, excluding caused by sickness or disease, bacterial or viral infection

General exclusion
Unless it is contrary to the policy exclusion, otherwise the following is the general exclusions.

Basic Coverage

Accidental death
Death follow within a specified period (3 or 12 months) of the injury

  • Total loss of functional use
  • Insured person is completely unable to engage in any gainful occupation or employment for the remainder of his/ her life.
  • After 12 calendar months of continuous total disability resulted from Accidental Injury

 

Optional Coverage

Temporary Total disability (not applicable to Student Personal Accident Ins.)
  • Total and continuous disability due solely to Accidental Bodily Injury which prevents the Insured from engaging in each and every duty of his own or other suitable occupation which corresponds to his knowledge, training and education.
  • Maximum period of benefit: Range from 52 to 104 weeks
Temporary partial disability(not applicable to Student Personal Accident Ins.)
  • Partial-disability due solely to Accidental Bodily Injury which prevents the Insured from engaging in one or more major duties pertaining to his occupation.
  • Maximum period of benefit payment: Range from 52 to 104 weeks

  • Actual expenses paid by the Insured including the costs of medical supplies, or professional home-nursing fees
  • Exclude the cost of dental care and treatment unless such treatment is for emergency and caused by Accidental Injury
  • Total benefit payable: limited to the fixed amount per accident or per policy year

Essential for Declaration in Change of Occupation.

Change of occupation

Changed to more hazardous than that stated in the applications:
Insurer compensated only such portion of the indemnities provided in the application and within the limits fixed by insurer for such more hazardous occupation.

Changed to less hazardous than that stated in the application:
Insurer reduce the premium rate accordingly and return on pro-rata basis for the excess unearned premium


Advantages

Provide Replacement Value in case of Long Term Disablement and subsides to medical treatment & temporary loss of income in case of insufficient cash position in accordance with the described benefit.
